Ideas in motion: Motion-led Branding

While digital marketing has been around for a while, many brands still find standing out a challenge. The algorithms used by social media platforms prioritise video content, but static brand guidelines restrict many B2B marketers’ attempts to stand out.

Content Creatures is a creative agency specialising in animation, motion design, and branding. We take a video-first approach to brand identity. Our award-winning team of experienced strategists, designers and animators use motion design to develop or extend visual identities to help brands like yours stand out from their competitors.

How can we help?

Motion Graphics: Transforming Visual Communication

Motion design is the art of combining dynamic visuals and animated graphics to create engaging and immersive content. This approach enables brands to effectively communicate their brand values and campaign messaging via cohesive visual language that resonates with audiences across various platforms.

Unlike static brand imagery, motion graphics can convey additional narrative meaning through movement. Because of how the human brain has evolved, using motion to reinforce your message makes it more engaging and leaves a lasting impression.

Motion Graphic Animations: Crafting Branded Storytelling

Whether it’s character animation or motion design, we apply a design-led storytelling approach to every brief.

Motion graphic animations don’t need to be cold and unemotional. When combined with a powerful narrative, 2D or 3D shape animation can be transformed into an impactful piece of animated storytelling that connects with your audience on a primal level.

Such animations are especially effective for service sectors like finance and tech, where complex information can be conveyed through characterful animation, making it easily digestible and relatable.

Motion branding elevates your corporate identity by transforming static brand elements into dynamic, captivating content that grabs and holds your audience’s attention. It brings your brand to life, making it more expressive and engaging.

You can explore the benefit of motion branding for your business here.

Our motion branding services include:

  • Logo animation: Custom animated versions of your logo in various formats (e.g. looped for social media, full resolution for corporate video production).
  • Kinetic typography systems: Bespoke animated type styles that bring brand messaging to life.
  • Video branding assets: Intro/outro stings, lower thirds, animated overlays, and branded transitions.
  • Motion design systems: A full suite of animated components for consistency across all video and motion content.
  • Brand toolkits: Delivered in layered project files with guidelines to support your internal or external teams.

Every output is crafted to integrate seamlessly into your wider video editing workflow or ongoing animation services.

We create motion branding that mirrors your sector’s visual language, audience expectations, and strategic goals of your sector.

By understanding sector-specific cues, we create animations that feel instinctively ‘right’ for the viewer. For example:

  • Tech brands often call for sleek, modular animations that reflect innovation, scalability and speed.
  • Healthcare clients benefit from warm, human-centred motion, with gentle pacing and soft transitions that convey trust and care.
  • Finance sectors respond well to precise, restrained motion that communicates reliability, structure and clarity.

Every design element, from typography to timing, is considered, ensuring the motion branding supports your objectives and resonates with your audience. Our sector experience allows us to adapt seamlessly to the visual and tonal nuances of each industry.

Most projects take 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity and feedback.

  • Logo animations and basic assets: 2–3 weeks
  • Full motion branding systems: 4–6 weeks
  • Character-led or multi-platform packages: 6–8 weeks

We provide a clear timeline at the start and can accommodate tight turnarounds if needed.

We follow a focused five-step process to craft a distinctive motion language that brings your brand identity to life across digital platforms.

  1. Discover: We begin with a kick-off meeting to understand your goals, audience, and brand ambitions. Then we review your brand guidelines and visual identity to identify how motion can enhance your existing branding.
  2. Explore: We develop different creative routes, each featuring motion tests, moodboards, and animation references tailored to your tone of voice and sector.
  3. Develop: Once a direction is chosen, we design core motion assets, from logo animation and kinetic typography to branded transitions.
  4. Refine: Feedback is integrated at each stage to ensure every element reflects your brand values and works across your content ecosystem.
  5. Deliver: Final assets are supplied in ready-to-use formats, with optional brand motion guidelines to support future video production, animation, or video editing needs.

Our motion branding packages are built to deliver a flexible visual identity that’s simple to apply and ensures brand consistency across all communication channels.

Our standard motion branding packages include:

  • Animated logo variants (e.g. full-screen, social-sized)
  • Kinetic typography templates
  • Branded motion transitions and intros/outros
  • Lower thirds and title animations
  • Guidelines for motion use across your video production services

Optional add-ons include social templates, animated infographics, or character animation, depending on your needs!

If you’re unsure what you need, book a call, we’ll guide you based on your brand, audience, and how you plan to use your motion branding.

Absolutely. We align every animation with your visual identity, tone of voice, and brand guidelines.

Our approach to motion branding isn’t based on whether you’re a new or established business, it’s shaped by your brand’s specific needs.

If you already have brand guidelines and a defined visual identity, we work closely with them to create motion assets that stay true to your brand’s essence.

If you’re still developing your visual identity, we offer creative strategy as part of our services. We can help define your visual identity, collaborate with you through workshops if you’d like to be hands-on, or take the lead if you prefer to hand it over entirely.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining what you already have, we’ll tailor the motion branding process to your specific needs.

To get started, we’ll need a clear brief outlining what you’re looking to achieve. If you’re not quite sure yet, that’s absolutely fine, we can guide you through a discovery session to better understand your brand and goals.

If you’re unsure how to write a strong brief, you can download our free template to help get things moving in the right direction.

All pricing is transparent and quoted up front!
