Things left behind

Awareness Campaign

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices support babies, children and young people with life limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey, South West and North West London.

The charity asked for a short, powerful video that would raise awareness of their bereavement services and inspire charitable supporters and donors to contribute to their cause, enabling them to reach more families in need of help.

The video was designed primarily for their website, with stills and cutdowns prepared for social channels, email and presentations to ensure their message landed clearly and consistently across touchpoints.

The creative content

We brought the story to life through character animation and a warm, authentic voiceover which combined the perspectives of a mother, father, and sibling, all connected through the theme of things left behind. Working closely with the Shooting Star team, we refined a concise script that focused on how their support can help families navigate grief together.

We used Moho to create the characters presented in the video and After Effects to animate, refine and assemble the full sequence. Through dynamic motion, colour, and transitions, we positioned Shooting Star as a beacon of comfort and hope.

The impact

The video provided Shooting Star with an emotive, shareable asset that invited support and increased awareness of the help available to families. Shooting Star shared the animation in a direct mail to their supporters both online and offline as the core part of their Christmas campaign. Together with the 10-minute explainer we additionally developed for them, it formed a powerful set of resources for their campaign. The client feedback was extremely positive as a result. They plan to use the film on their socials throughout 2026 as part of an always-on brand campaign.

What we enjoyed about the project

There were many creative elements to explore in this project; from developing the initial creative concept, through visual development and the animation. Working with a charity such as Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is exceptionally rewarding ,and we enjoyed integrating Moho characters, vibrant textures, colours, and varied visual styles into a single cohesive piece for this important campaign.

Content Creatures have been exceptional to work with. They somehow manage to perfectly bring together creativity, strategy and account management.

They clearly care deeply about their work and that comes across incredibly strong.
