Catalytic Conversations

Explainer Videos

Flow is a professional-services consultancy dedicated to improving collaboration and performance by raising the quality of workplace culture through better conversations. Their tools and models, including the QUIET Listening Framework, help HR leaders and teams transform routine dialogue into catalysts for real organisational change.

Our brief was to create two 45-second animated explainer videos to power a lead-generation campaign with HRZone called The Catalytic Conversations campaign. Each video needed to work as a standalone piece, while reinforcing the strategic idea underpinning the whole initiative: start a conversation, start a change.

These videos were to be embedded in HRZone’s sponsored content and re-engagement emails, linking to Flow’s Catalytic Conversations Toolkit, a practical framework to strengthen conversational skills.

The goal therefore was to encourage viewers to explore Flow’s thinking further and download the toolkit.

What We Did

  • Animation
  • Brand development
  • Copywriting
  • Creative strategy
  • Digital assets
  • Motion design
  • Storyboarding
  • Voiceover production

The Creative Content

We began by reviewing all of Flow’s material and distilling it into two concise 45-second scripts that communicated their message with clarity.

Each animation had a clear and distinct purpose, brought to life through character-led storytelling that reflected Flow’s brand identity. All motion graphics and animation were created in After Effects, ensuring a clean, consistent visual style across both videos.

‘Closer’ animated explainer

This explainer video portrayed the realities of modern work: missed deadlines, circular updates, competing priorities, and indicated how better conversations bring people closer to each other and shared outcomes.

‘Quiet’ animated explainer

This explainer video focused on the Quiet Listening Framework, presenting listening as a performance skill through principles including: quit judging, understand the conversation type, indicate you’re interested, encourage the speaker and talk less. The story reframed listening as an active behaviour that improves collaboration.

The impact

Working with Flow’s team we balanced clarity, emotional relevance and practical value across both explainer videos to help viewers recognise their own workplace dynamics and see Flow’s toolkit as an actionable solution for positive change.

The client was pleased with the final films, viewing them as valuable assets for the Catalytic Conversations campaign.

What we enjoyed about the project

At Content Creatures, we love a creative challenge and this project offered exactly that.

We enjoyed immersing ourselves in Flow’s thinking and shaping such a large amount of information into sharp, engaging 45 seconds scripts.

Even the client remarked on how effectively we captured their ideas in such a concise format.
